BRACELET Must haves

Every woman needs a minimum of six bracelets in her wardrobe arsenal, usually two gold and two silver, a diamond and an alternative bracelet such as a pearl or jade bracelet. Women will need three to four gold bangles for different occasions. Similar to gold bracelets, silver bracelets are a workhorse of every day wardrobes. A pearl bracelet can be the right touch for a semi-formal social gathering. A diamond bracelet is needed for a special formal occasion or event such as a wedding or a formal ball.

BUY A BRACELET AS A GIFT

Modern bracelets are often crafted to be durable since they are frequently bumped or rubbed against surfaces due to its location on the wrists. Some bracelets will come in different lengths so be sure to measure existing bracelets if you don’t already know the size.

BRACELETS AS A GIFT BY OCCASION

Engagement Bracelets – Believe it or not, engagement bracelets are growing in popularity. Many grooms are finding diverse ways to express their love for their future bride. Alternatively, grooms are also receiving engagement bracelets as a token of love as well. Sterling silver mixed with carbon fiber is a fashionable choice for a pair of his and hers bracelets.  Many couples are finding that his and hers engagement bracelets are a wonderful expression of their commitment for one another.

Wedding Bracelets and Bridesmaid Bracelets – Many brides are looking for practical ways to show their appreciation for their bridesmaids and other bridal party members. A popular choice among brides is bracelets. Not only do bracelets make the perfect bridal party gifts, but they can serve a duo purpose as well. Some brides have chosen to buy bracelets for their bridesmaids to wear on the wedding day as well as for future events. Gold bracelets, silver bracelets, and pearl bracelets are wonderful accessories for bridal attire. A great way to make a bracelet even more special is to personalize it. Personalized bracelets are a unique way to show your bridal party how much you care.

Milestone Bracelets – Pearl bracelets make wonderful milestone gifts. Whether you are celebrating an anniversary or a graduation, your special someone is sure to cherish her pearl bracelet. One might consider giving a personalized gold bracelet as a way to commemorate a special occasion such as a job promotion, anniversary, birthday, or graduation.

Formal Events – We all know that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. A diamond bracelet is the perfect accessory for a ball or any other formal event.  Her diamond bracelet will make her standout as she mingles during cocktail hour and as she takes her place at the dinner table. The perfect accent to her little black dress or her bold red cocktail ensemble, a diamond bracelet is an elegant choice for any formal occasion.

Bracelets as a Wedding Gift – His and hers bracelets are a modern alternative for wedding gifts. A gold bracelet, silver bracelet or diamond bracelet is a sophisticated choice for the bride and a classic sterling silver dark rubber bracelet for the groom.

Friendship Bracelets – Personalized bracelets are a stylish trend for friends to stay connected. Whether you choose to engrave your name, initials, or the phrase “best friends” on your personalized bracelet, the world will recognize the appreciation you have for your friendship. Sterling silver and gold make perfect personalized bracelets.  For more pizzazz, platinum personalized friendship bracelets are picking up steam.

BUYING TIPS

Length: Womens bracelets are typically 6.5 inches to 7.5 inches in length and most American women use the 7.0 inch length. Men’s bracelets range from 7.0 inches to 9.0 inches with 8.0 inches as the most common length.

Fit: A bracelet, regardless of style, should fit comfortably and be easily removed from the arm.  A bangle bracelet should fit loosely on the wrist or arm, but it should not slide past the heel of the hand too easily. For a link bracelet, she should be able to slide two fingers in between the bracelet and the heel and adjust accordingly since most bracelets are adjustable. For a cuff bracelet, it should fit in a snug way on the wrist or forearm and it should not be at a position that is so tight that it causes swelling or discomfort.

Texture: Although there are many materials that are used to make bracelets, the fashionable metallic bracelets are most popular in smooth surfaces and with well thought out patterns such as links, chains and byzantine style bracelets.

Shine: Shinier materials do not necessarily make the best women’s bracelets. Although 24k gold, 22k gold, and 100% pure silver are very luminous and appealing to the eye, they are too malleable for every day use.  When it comes to style, durability is equally as important. When choosing a bracelet, it is best to go with 18 karat, 14 karat and sterling silver (approximately 92.5% silver). On the other hand, materials that are too low in grade such as 10k and 12k gold are too dull in appearance.

EASY REMOVAL OF A TIGHT BRACELET

A common question is how do you remove a hard bracelet such a coil or a bangle bracelet is too tight and it won’t come off. Do the following to get it off:

1. Relax your arm and hand
2. Lubricate the bangle bracelet and your arm and wrist
3. Gently twist the arm and wrist alternating between a clockwise and counterclockwise motion for about 30 degrees either way.
4. Wash away the lotion on both your arm and the bracelet.
5. Don’t forget to dry the bracelet or apply a cleaner for continued maximum shine.
